There are total of 19 apartments designed especially for senior living.
Unit prices include all utilities except telephone and cable television.
Laundry facilities are on-site. An elevator is centrally located.
The center also employs an on-site manager and maintenance person.

- Centrally Located -

The St. Patrick's Senior Center is situated in downtown Heppner.
It is directly across the street from the town's grocery store,
a drug and convenience store, and the post office.
There is a one block walk to the dentist and bank.
It is a half-block walk to the optometrist.
Three restaurants and the Elk's Lodge are located on the same block.

Heppner is serviced by three doctors and one physician's assistant.
Heppner is also serviced by Pioneer Memorial Hospital with its complete hospital facilities.


Because of the building's central location, the tenants do not need cars.
However, a spacious paved parking lot exists in the back of the building,
with reserved spaces for the tenants. A "Dollar Ride" van service is also available.

- Fellowship with Others -

The St. Patrick's Senior Center is truly the
heart and focus of senior activities in Heppner-
there is a full agenda of social and educational
events. Most of the first floor operates as a
senior center and the senior meal site is located
here. Currently, the meal site serves a Wednesday lunch. The seniors in Heppner are very active and many choose to be involved in a full social life. 

Willow Creek Dam

- Many Activities -

A public swimming pool is located about
five blocks from the center. Public tennis courts sit
next to the Heppner Elementary School, within
three blocks of the center. The Willow Creek
Country Club golf course is approximately 1.5 miles
from the center; green fees are kept to a minimum.
The Willow Creek Dam Lake, at the edge of town,
affords great fishing and water recreation.
There is also an excellent library and county museum
within two blocks of the senior center.

- Low Crime Rate -

While St. Patrick's Senior Center has an intercom
security system, break-ins in Heppner are almost
non-existent. The city has a contract for police
coverage with the Morrow County Sheriff's Dept.
The Heppner Fire Department is located
one block away from the center.
