Sweet Productions is expanding”:Starting Monday, January 16th, The Pastry Peddler” (operating by Jodi’s sister Lisa Larsen) will begin providing bakery items like cinnamon rolls, breakfast pastries, donuts, cookies, sugar free items and special orders.

Biggest Winners”: The Community Health Improvement Partnership of Morrow County (MCCHIP) is a partnership between the health care systems and the health status of area residents. MCCHIP is offering the “Biggest Winner” program. The program will support your efforts to achieve a healthy weight loss and allow you to participate in wellness education to establish lifelong healthy behaviors. Initial and final weigh-in is required and today is the last day to register and weigh-in to be eligible for the prizes. Over-all prizes in each community will be awarded for the greatest weight lost as a percentage of total body weight. The weigh-in/education activity will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Mondays at: Sam Boardman Elementary, Heppner Elementary School and the Ione Community Church and on Tuesdays at Irrigon Jr./Sr. High School. March 15-18: Heppner’s 30th St. Patrick’s Annual Wee’ Bit O’ Ireland is coming and we need you!. We can always use volunteers so think about giving some good old community time to help us make this the best weekend ever. Also, Heppner Chamber is looking for some boxers for our boxing event on Friday, March 16th – call the Chamber if you are interested or know of someone! This year the celebrations will start on Wednesday, with a Donkey Basketball Game fundraiser at Heppner Jr./Sr. High School.

Thursday, February 23: Port of Morrow Commissioners will be here to give updates on what is going on at the Port and will allow time for questions and discussion. For this week, the lunch meeting will be scheduled from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
